Traditionally, we use water to leak test the titanium heat exchanger, which is to inject water into the equipment, and then use the pump to pressurize the water in the equipment to make it reach a specific pressure, so as to check the equipment for leaks. After the leak inspection is completed and marked, the pressure is released and drained, and then the leak is plugged.
If the titanium heat exchanger is large and the leakage is serious, leakage will occur when the water pressure is low, and it has to be drained to plug the leak. After the plugging is completed, it will be filled with water, pressurized and tested for leaks. Repeatedly, it will increase the time for equipment maintenance. Since water filling and pressing require a lot of time, when the leaking part needs hot-fire repair welding to eliminate leakage, the leaking part must be dried, otherwise the quality of repair welding and leakage elimination will be affected.
If there is a flammable medium in the leaking titanium heat exchanger, nitrogen replacement must be carried out, and hot-fire repair welding can be used to eliminate leakage after passing the test, otherwise fire and explosion will occur, endangering the safety of people and equipment.
